Physics is a powerful software program for the Macintosh and Apple IIgs that allows a "hands-on" approach to physics. It acts as your own private tutor. Using the interactive capabilities of the computer, it reviews, amplifies, and complements an entire year's coursework. The first Sensei program, Geometry, was hailed by educators as a breakthrough for its ability to allow tremendous freedom of choice and self-paced discovery by students while meeting the needs of a standard curriculum. Physics follows in this same tradition.
Physics follows a classic curriculum, and includes over 300 problems that cover a complete course in classical mechanics. Students learn at their own pace, reviewing, practicing and solving the kinds of problems found in homework and exams.
Using interactive graphics, you can explore and investigate the basic concepts of physics. Abstract methods and formulas come to life on the screen as you learn how to manipulate vectors, interpret graphs, and answer problems. Experiment with velocity and force to see changes in orbital motion. Work with kinetic and potential energy simulations to understand their relationships.
The goal of Sensei Software is to present key concepts in intriguing, interactive ways that help students master the subject and improve their performance in homework and tests.
Sensei means "master" or "teacher" in Japanese. Other Sensei programs are currently available for Geometry and Calculus.
